Decluttering

  • Decluttering is a multi-layered process which involves sorting through all the items/belongings in a particular space or room & deciding what you wish/need to keep & what needs to be let go of.

  • Just as we need to complete daily tasks such as doing the washing up in order to keep a space functional, I believe strongly that decluttering your space on a regular basis is of equal, if not even higher importance.

    Modern life and especially consumerism has brought with it some amazing opportunities for us all, however it has also provided us with the ability to own far too much “stuff”.

    From my own experience I feel that having lots of things that we don’t actually have a use for, or we wish to use but cannot easily find due to the dis-order, creates chaos not only in our physical surroundings but also within our minds & I believe therefore that decluttering is an absolutely essential element of self care for us all.

  • I aim to work with each client according to their individual needs, so initially I would advise getting in touch to arrange a free, over the phone consultation so that we can discuss what you are hoping to achieve & how you wish to go about the decluttering process.

    Once we have agreed a plan of action together & booked in a session/s I will generally start by sorting through the area & all the items in that area so that we have everything in groups and you can easily see exactly what you have.

    Once we get to this stage and depending on our agreed plan, we will start the process of sorting through all the grouped items one by one and deciding what will be kept and what you would like to let go of.

    When you have decided on exactly what will be kept/let go of, I can assist you in organising the disposal of everything you wish to let go of in the best & safest way available.
